Arpe Barcelona's reusable hygiene masks have been awarded "Sustainable Textile Product of the Year" by the PSI - Promotional Product Service Institute. The company was also a finalist in the categories of environmental excellence, social excellence and economic excellence.
Arpe had already been recognised by PIMEC in the 33rd edition of the Pymes Awards - special covid era - for its contribution to overcoming the effects of the pandemic in Catalonia. It is also worth remembering that Arpe's customisable hygiene masks were selected by the INTEXTER UPC expert commission as the best on the market for its students and teaching staff.
The PSI Sustainability Awards were presented for the sixth time on 12 January, but for the first time the promotional products industry did not gather for a gala evening. The awards ceremony, which was to kick off the international trade fair and promotional product benchmark in Düsseldorf, had to be moved to the digital space due to the pandemic and the subsequent postponement of the trade fair. But there was no lack of a festive atmosphere during the gala.
The Award honours companies that stand out for their outstanding performance in the three areas of sustainability - economic, ecological and social - and thus take on a pioneering role in the promotional products industry. PSI Director Michael Freter and Steven Baumgärtner, Managing Director of cyber-Wear presented the virtual event.
Out of a total of 98 entries, Arpe was the winner for the best sustainable textile product 2021, thanks to its latest innovation; the reusable and sustainable Skut face masks. Arpe also excelled in the categories "Social, Environmental and Economic Excellence".
Thanks to all the Arpe team and all our customers, this recognition is also yours.
