The Design Museum, the exhibition "Emergency! Designs against COVID-19" which presents a selection of 55 initiatives that, from the world of design, have given a rapid response to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Most of the designs presented were born in the early 2020s, when there was an urgent need to save lives and protect people. Many proposals therefore emerged during the confinement that began in March with a clear objective: to design to help.

The exhibition brings together a good part of the contributions on hygiene masks made by designers and companies. Examples are the Arpe hygiene masks (Skut-0) made from Post-Consumer r-PET and with a filtration capacity of 98.4% (BFE).
The entry of these pieces related to COVID-19 is part of the objectives of the Design Museum to know, document and increase its collections with those objects that respond to the needs of society, provide improvements in usability and are a reflection of our time.
The exhibition is a project of the Design Museum of Barcelona with the collaboration of the ADI-FAD. This year, in parallel to the ADI Awards, the ADI-Reconoce, Emergencia Covid call has been created with the aim of giving space, dissemination and recognition to the initiatives that have been launched to tackle the health crisis. The selection of ADI-Reconoce projects and products will form part of the exhibition.
Thanks to the "Emergency!" exhibition, the Arpe masks represent Spain in the exhibition against COVID at the Canadian museum. Royal Ontario Museum. For its environmental quality and the recognition obtained with the Conama award for the best sustainable product of the year.
